A Personal NOTE
I've been a florist for 35 years. I've been in hospital rooms, at gravesides, and at kitchen tables with families trying to find words for something that has none.
I understand grief personally. In 2020, I lost my youngest son. My relationship with flowers changed completely after that. Designing wasn't just for others anymore, it became the place I could put my grief without having to explain it to anyone.
Flowers hold space. They give expression to what feels too heavy or too sacred to say out loud. And when I design for a family in loss, I bring all of that understanding with me.
